Business Brief

The State of Washington has a new House Bill Law SSD6409 relating to construction defect claims.
A brief summary is as follows: a builder or a remodeler on a residence must be given the opportunity to cure a construction defect before a law suit may be filed against the builder. The plaintiff must list alleged defects and identify which construction professional is responsible for the defect before filing a lawsuit against the builder. One must provide the builder time and the opportunity to repair any defects.
